Here are, in my opinion, the best free graphics applications available for Windows. These tools effectively replace the need for expensive tools, like Adobe products. I use these along side some commercial applications and they integrate very well with little effort. There are a lot of lists that consist of free Windows graphics software out here, but I actually use these products unlike many of the people listing tons of programs. Check my links for resources , like free and open clipart, stock photos, fonts, etc... If you're also wanting some nice plug-ins for Photoshop, there are some really nice ones here . A bigger list can be found here . |

Apple will change the gaming and media markets within a few years for the average user. You will buy your games from the AppStore that can play anywhere iTunes lives or you will own a console based solution. I believe OS X will be released for non-Apple hardware and will be a direct competitor to Linux, not Windows, in the near future. The iPhone, Wii, and PS3 will all help to reintroduce us to OpenGL, bye DirectX. Apple TV will blow away Vista MCE, Vudu, and the likes and start that ball rolling as more people look to the internet for their content. The iPhone is already reshaping how we once thought about mobile devices and Linux is following suit. I don't see Microsoft getting it until it's too late – what's new? |

If you are into WWII Submarine games and you're running a Macintosh you're in luck. A game I have played on Linux a few times is now ported to OS X (PPC and Intel). The game is called Danger Deep. The Mac port is here for more information and Windows\ Linux downloads go here . |

So I read this post on Slash about Vista phoning home and I just couldn't help to think how much these people really miss the reality of their world. Since computers started phoning home and web-sites started collecting marketing data people have screamed “what about my privacy?” Now everyone from Google to the Government is sending warm and fuzzy statements about protecting your privacy, but it's pure bullshit. |

I have been a Truespace 3-D user since version 2.0 and I have always found it to be the best for really quick renderings due to the fact it has the best interface that only Cinema 4D can beat, The modeling tools are top notch and the output is very nice quality for the price. Now you can download the latest version for free . It requires an account on the Caligari site, but that is it. |
