Update, today Edgy updater told me Flash 9 was ready to be updated. It was already installed since I ran the deb package below. I installed via the updater to be compliant. I assume you will not need this package an longer as Kubuntu will most likely upgrade any version of Flash to version 9.  

Update, the latest release is out and deb package has been updated.

Flash 9 beta dep package for Debian/(K)Ubuntu

My son is over for the weekend and wanted to play the Lego Bionicle games, which requires Flash 9. I hadn't tried the Flash 9 beta, because I honestly just didn't want to deal with it and don't really care, but he really wanted to play it so I searched for instructions thinking I would have to type tons of commands and create symlinks, blah... But someone did the work for me! Ah, all I typed was dpkg -i ....

Get a pretty deb package for (K)Ubuntu here. Seems pretty stable. It crashed on the game a few times last night, but today it didn't crash at all. Other things seem to be just fine.
